Harold Hopking

Harold has been trading in the market since 1985 and has been involved in the Financial Services industry since 1995. In 1999 he partnered with PKF Cpt (formerly Fisher Hoffman, Cape Town) and started their wealth management business. Harold was instrumental in setting up both the single manager business (formerly ValuGro Capital), as well as the multi manager business (formerly MultiGro Capital) and finally merging all the businesses with the Efficient Group. Harold’s passion is the markets and this passion has driven him to excel in what he does.

Harold readily admits that any person is only as good as the team that they are involved with.

Brendan Vadas

Brendan is passionate about common sense investing and wealth creation. He began his investment career at ValuGro Capital (a subsidiary of The Efficient Group) and has worked his way up from a junior analyst to his current position as CIO.

Brendan is, a CFA Charter Holder. The CFA designation is a mark of distinction that is globally recognized by employers, investment professionals, and investors as the definitive standard by which to measure serious investment professionals. Brendan is also a CAA Airline Transportation and Commercial Pilot and Senior Flight Instructor.

Brendan believes that employees are the foundation of the organisation.

Marius van Wyk

Marius attended Stellenbosch University where he completed his BEng (Electric & Electronic) and MSC Eng Cum Laude degrees. He joined the company in 2008 and has passed his CFA level 2.

Rob Enslin

Rob attended York High School in Johannesburg after which he completed his BCom Hons (Financial Analysis) degree at Stellenbosch. He joined the company in January 2008 and is a CFA level 2 candidate.

Stuart Sinclair

After attending Pretoria Boys High School, Stuart completed his BCom Honours (Investment management & Economics) degree at Stellenbosch. He joined the company in January 2008 and is enrolled in the CIMA programme.
